CLUB RULES
- There are other players on the course apart from yourself
- You only have THREE minutes to search, when a ball is ‘lost'.
- Be ready to play your shot when it is your turn.
- Remember your place in the field is behind the group in front NOT in front of the group behind.
- Unless allowed under a local course ruling the option of preferred lies is no longer available. The ball is to be played from the position it rests in.
- Stroke and Distance Rule. (penalty 2 Strokes) In the interest of keeping play moving the club has introduced the new Stroke and Distance Relief Rule as another alternative for a ball that is lost outside a penalty area or out of bounds.
- Determine the position where your ball went out of bounds or was likely to be lost.
- Find the nearest Fairway edge, no closer to the hole. Drop your ball within 2 club lengths (not nearer to the hole) and play your shot. eg. If you are using this rule having gone out of bounds off the tee, you will be playing your 4th shot. Temporary Golf Rules introduced during the Covid-19 Pandemic have now been lifted.
- Unless the local rules of a Golf Course state otherwise BDSGCG shall follow the rules of Golf Australia.
